How trees grow and defend against decay; how to recognize signs of decay.
9:00 - 10:00 am Pruning presented by Dalton Gormey
The costs and benefits of pruning; the physiology of pruning; pruning
techniques.
10:00 - 11:00am Removal presented by Roy Maxey
How to safely and efficiently perform tree removals; height estimation,
felling, climbing, bucking and lifting; the use of cranes during tree
removal.
11:00 am- 12:00 pm Cabling and Bracing presented by Roy Maxey
Reasons for installing cables and braces; hardware and tools; attachment
techniques.
Noon - 1:00 pm Lunch
