Certified Arborist Exam

The Certified Arborist Exam is proctored by ISA, the International Society of Arboriculture. 

To take the exam, individuals must be enrolled directly with the ISA.

This is only an IN-PERSON EVENT

The ISA Certified Arborist Exam also requires a fee to be paid directly to the ISA.

•  There are limited seats for the exam.
•  It is recommended to begin the Exam Application process as early as possible.
•  It can take time to submit the paperwork and receive approval to register to take the exam.

• To take the exam, individuals must apply directly with the ISA approximately 4 weeks prior to the exam to be eligible for testing.  Please follow up with ISA regarding the deadline for the scheduled exam of your preference.

• The ISA requires a minimum of 3 years documented field experience before taking the Certified Arborist exam. If you are a self-employed business owner, a minimum of 36 months of invoicing is required.
• The ACTC/CAT Program series does not include the exam application and exam fee.

• ACTC is not responsible for your Certified Arborist Exam Application.

• The Certified Arborist Exam is proctored by the ISA. 

• The ISA Certified Arborist Exam requires an Exam Application and Exam Fee to be paid directly to the ISA.
